Grace Solomon

Grace Solomon, President (Seat 1, Parkland)

Elected to the North Springs Improvement District Board of Supervisors in June 2020 and re-elected June 5, 2024. Grace Solomon holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated cum laude and was on the Law Review Executive Board, and she is also a former Parkland City Commissioner (2016-2018). Previously, Mrs. Solomon served on the City of Parkland’s Education Advisory Board, the City of Parkland’s Police Pension Board, the City of Parkland’s Charter Review Board, currently serves on the Broward County Unsafe Structures Board, and has been recognized by Broward County Public Schools for Volunteering Over 200 Hours Each School Year from 2013 through 2016. Upon gaining admission to the Florida Bar in 1999, her career as an attorney has taken her from court room litigation, insurance defense and appellate law all the way to real estate law and family law where she’s earned a reputation as an advocate for children’s rights during the most challenging of circumstances. Ms. Solomon has been certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator, is a trained Collaborative Family Lawyer and is a founding member of Parkland Mediation and Grace F. Solomon, P.A.. Mrs. Solomon’s experience as a public servant and her legal training are a valuable asset to the residents of the North Springs Improvement District.

Vincent Moretti

Vincent J. Moretti, Assistant Secretary (Seat 2, Coral Springs)

Mr. Moretti was originally elected to the Board of Supervisors in June 2008 and re-elected June 5, 2024. He has resided in the District for over twenty (20) years and is the President of Pro Bowl Plumbing, Inc. He has over twenty (20) years of experience in the construction and plumbing industry including completing communities for H.A. Cumber, Engle Homes, WCI Communities and Professional Group Associates. His community service includes involvement with Freedom House and Habitat for Humanity as well as many other local causes. Mr. Moretti is a former paramedic and firefighter and continues to hold state certifications in both disciplines. His years of public service have been a great asset to the residents to which he serves.

Anthony Avello

Anthony Avello, Secretary (Seat 3, At Large)

Appointed to the NSID Board of Supervisors, March 2023 and elected to the Board June 2024, Anthony Avello is a retired police officer serving over 27 years with the City of Coconut Creek. He served in many capacities in his police career to include, Patrol Division, Crime Prevention, Development Review Committee, Emergency Operation Team, and Public Information Officer. Mr. Avello has tremendous experience in EOC Operations relating to Emergency Preparedness and was assigned as the Department’s spokesperson developing media relations policies for the dissemination of public records to television and print media. Mr. Avello is deeply rooted in public service where he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Parkland Planning & Zoning Board for nearly 10 years. Additionally, he was appointed to the Parkland Charter Review Board in May 2017 and appointed again in May 2023, where he served as the Vice Chairman.
