Residential Properties
How to Open a Water Billing Account
- All new account holders will need to complete the Starting Service Application. Water accounts may only be made in the property’s owner’s name.
- New property owners will need to provide proof of ownership (warranty deed, settlement statement, ALTA or closing documents), a picture I.D. (driver’s license or passport, and will need to place a security deposit.
- Deposit amounts vary on meter size, numbers of meters, and type of water account. Please verify price with the Utility Billing Department.

How to Close a Water Billing Account
- To schedule termination of water billing account, account holders will need to complete the Ending Service Application. For any questions, please contact the office at (954) 752-0400, option #1, option #1 or email nsid@nsidfl.gov.
- Terminations can only be scheduled Monday-Fridays, excluding holidays.
Commercial Properties
North Springs Improvement District requires deposits for all commercial accounts depending on water meter size and services billed to a commercial address.
Businesses must provide their name and either a Federal Tax Number or Employer Identification Number.

Temporary Hydrant Meters
